Having completed the restoration (and somewhat necessitated modification) of my grandfather's watch, I can present to you the full video of the process.

Word of warning: Don't expect fireworks and a light show, it's me painstakingly (byword for slowly) assembling watch components together, in one camera angle and talking through it. Also, I talk extra softly when I'm in deep concentration mode, apparently. So, listen hard.

I've now made the final modifications to my restoration of my late grandfather's watch.

Namely shortening the stem, allowing the crown to sit flush with the case. I then realised I forgot to screw the mounting screws into the plastic spacer ring that sits outside the movement during the main assembly a couple days ago, largely due to rushing to pack away my tools before supper (luckily I hadn't worn it yet).

100% finished.

I was gifted my late grandfather's old watch for Christmas by my grandma. A British designed Accurist, I believe from the mid-'90s. The Miyota 2115 in there was broken. I failed to take a photo of it before disassembly, so I found a stock image (left) of the 2010s remake of the same model.

Same case, same crown. New dial (seemingly a metal base, enamel painted) and an ETA 2824-2 in there now. Just need to shorten the stem, then it's job done.
