It definitely partakes in the chonky luxury sports watch vibe, but at a much more affordable price. It’s comfortable to wear, and has probably my favorite bracelet micro-adjust of all time.

This was a hey-I’m-supporting-someone-interesting flyer on Kickstarter, but in the end it really delivers. If you’d like a contemporary luxury vibe at a mere $650, with a solid mechanical movement (Miyota), it’s hard to imagine doing better.

Today’s acquisition: the new Traska Venturer GMT in arctic white. Rotating internal bezel, the new Miyota 9075 “real” GMT movement. Feels quite solid.

Fancy enough to wear anywhere on business, enough water resistance to go swimming, and not so expensive as to be a magnet for trouble. Pretty much the ideal travel watch.

@GWillow I’m feeling really good about this place. It’s got real problems (not talking about how #watchstodon isn’t a thing, but challenges to discoverability and too much racism/gatekeeping) but still feels like we have a shot at fixing those problems instead of making everything worse.
