A brief #Waterbed update, if anyone is still interested... the replacement heater arrived yesterday, so the new mattress is now installed and warming up nicely. They usually take a couple of days to get up to operating temperature, so I don't think we'll be sleeping in it tonight.

The #waterbed saga continues... having drained the old mattress overnight by siphoning it out of the window, when I folded it up and lifted the safety liner, I find the heater pad has leaked horribly sticky brown gunk from its connector (I seem to recall this happening with the last one too, although it was about 12 years ago), so I've now ordered a replacement heater, which probably isn't going to arrive before next Wednesday at the earliest. We'll be on the sofa bed for a while yet. 🙄
