legislation trending. Passed would require homeowners with septic tanks to pay to convert to a municipal sewer as well as allow the Southern Nevada Water Authority to cut off higher water users.

Spending some time at a cabin on a gulf island with a water shortage has me feeling a little more aware of my water usage than normal. BC is in a drought and we have some water restrictions coming I think, so this is good timing to install this low flow shower head I bought a while ago.

Life Water Garden hack.

I'm sure a lot of you know this trick, but collecting condensation water from your air conditioning units can really help to conserve water for watering plants and keeping the birds cool. I use a 50 gallon water catchment under my AC drain to create a bird bath as well as collecting water for the garden. During these hot humid months I can collect at least 5 to 10 gallons a day of water.
