Today's #watercolor is a candle. Not great, but trying out some color stuff and also some leaves from a book for practice. Only one came out ok, but that's fine.

I went to a local art supply store and got several things today, including some new brushes and different size paper, then came home and made my own travel palette. I decided to add some color to a quick sketch of an okra blossom and a lobster. With the latter: went way too wide with the blue so decided to flick some red on. What do you think?

Went to a #Watercolor class tonight. We only painted one picture, but got a lot of good tips from the teacher "RooDoodles". Here is mine. I don't know what it is, maybe a tiny bird on a giant flower? Biggest tip: do art every day. So that's my plan, now, is to do something small every day just to do it.

Last year I had the pleasure to visit a workshop by the incredible Jana Heidersdorf about painting horror themes – there we get some lyrics to set free our creativity (I chose "I have such nightmares and you're all in all of them"). So this sketch waited a long time to become a dark and dreamy piece 🖤 but finally here it is!
I call it "Dream Well"/"Traumbrunnen"
