A trip to Dean Village is a trip into the past. First mention of this Village is datet to the year 1535 but it may be older. It lays at the bank of the Water of Leith. A Walk through this Village could is truly like a fairytail.

It’s an issue that hits close to home (literally) and taking care of the Water of Leith & The Shore is where I’ve been spending my volunteer time as of late.

Sewage outlet run-off and recently the presence of oil/diesel slicks settling into the shore basin amongst the wildlife is a large cause for concern!

I passed three of the six #AntonyGormley statues (called 6 Times) on a walk along the #WaterofLeith this morning. There are another two at the #GalleryOfModernArt in #Edinburgh, but I missed them as the path was closed and I had to make a detour. The sixth is at Ocean Terminal in Leith, but I didn't go down that far.
