I'm a self-taught cartoonist and #furry. My #fursona is a worse (wolf/horse, mostly horse) named Animal. Basically a #feral gray horse with paws instead of hooves. I like furry characters who are more animal-like than humanoid, #Xenofiction like #WatershipDown and #SpiritStallionOfTheCimarron. Besides animals I also like to draw #toony humans at times.

Hmm, what else? I'm #ActuallyAutistic though online autism communities annoy me. I'd like to meet more #vegan and #vegetarian friends. May post weird kinks from time to time... Just read a Grauniad piece on the British #reclassification of #WatershipDown (https://www.theguardian.com/film/2023/jul/21/no-more-newborns-watership-down-has-been-upgraded-to-a-pg-itll-still-terrify-children), and realised I’ve never actually seen the film.

It stumped me for a moment, but I realised why: for as long as I remember, Art Garfunkel’s #BrightEyes reduced me to tears. I find it so incredibly sad and beautiful.

I reacted this way to a lot of things as a kid, most of which I grew out of. This one stuck, though; it’s dissuaded me from ever seeing the movie.

@RichTate I haven’t read #TheSatanicBible in probably 20+ years. Never read any of the others either. I have read the first two books in the #AreaX trilogy though. Those are very good. Only reason I didn’t finish is because I switched to #WatershipDown instead and never have gone back. I will eventually.

I've been listening to Watership Down by Richard Adams these last few days of painting. It's so good. I remember I loved it when I read it out loud to my youngest many years ago.

I hadn't intended to have a mini dungeon that's a mash up between Masquerade and Watership Down, but the joy of the day by day format means you can let the muse take you places.

This all feels nicely OSR and Gygaxian - just a pocket of weirdness with its own rules inside the larger dungeon.
