They each hold 20kg of rubbish and the article says that they're being emptied once or twice a day!

Two fairleads now protect the side of the boat, because the midlines were rubbing the paint off the steel.
These (photo) are "straight" fairleads, presumably because the opening isn't angled forward or backward.
I bought these at Freedom Boats, a chandlery (shop that sells boat parts). In London's 1980s Soho, though, "freedom" in a business name usually meant it was gay.
