He was still enough for me to zoom in and snap a few pics.
These birds are in the honeyeater family. The species are endemic to Australia.
One pic shows it’s beak open… maybe a little tired?? 😂🥱
Nar, it was calling out in a shrill, but soft chirp kinda sound.

A Hawaiian Cuckoo hanging around the past few days. Looking for a nest to lay her eggs I’m guessing. In Europe we have some pretty thrushes with similar features (judging by your photo) though.
