So that story which was doing nothing as an #indiebook now has 34.5k reads and has made it to the #wattys shortlist. Which means putting it on #wattpad was worth the effort. Because I'm willing to bet ALL of those readers are new readers. It's the equivalent of a free promo or putting a first in series book free in my mind.

Then came the #wattys which for those who don't know is a #wattpad competition which can open doors for the crème de la crème. I've never considered myself anything special, knew the field would be HUGE, and didn't think I qualified so ignored it. Turns out they tell you if your story is eligible and since mine was I again figured why not? And entered it approx an hour before the deadline...
