I thought the take on Mastadon was a little...disingenuous? Marques hasn't used it and nobody went into any detail on the algorithm or a lack of algorithm. Also the whole concept of being de-federated and self moderation. Ontop of "it's to complicated". Love the content otherwise. Also I know I'm posting to you on mastadon...

Maybe the most important application on my desktop has always been the music player.
For the last 8+ years I've been using #Nulloy which is an excellent minimal music player with a waveform display.
Today however I found #DeaDBeeF !
Wow! You can customize it into pretty much everything you want and it has a waveform plugin.

If it becomes as good as people perceive it, the way of the affiliate links and banner ads might be doomed. No reason to click a link if Google and Bing gives you what you need.
What does that do for other places like #substack or even consumer reports?
