But do you know why they didn't build it on the https://matrix.org/ protocol? It supports #E2EE, threads, and much more - even #Markdown. 😉

When there's good, open protocols available (same with #ActivityPub), I think creating something new that's closed and proprietary makes the product harder to sell than necessary. And it doesn't hurt those who don't care!

I would be more willing to join groups on #Wavelength than I would on #Telegram simply because it seems like threads is a great way to organize conversations.
