I am half way through "A Closed and Common Orbit" by #BeckyChambers and it already made me cry...

The main thing I loved about a "Record of a Spaceborn Few" is how it really built the characters. I hate space operas most generally. The galactic battles (if that's the majority of the book) bore my to tears. But if you have a character-rich, alien species-rich, humorous, societal picturing story I'm all in. All the Wayfarer books are like that. And it's a nice change. Is it fluffy sci-fi. Maybe. But what's wrong with getting a hug from a book every now and then. Sci-fi can be more then the science and space travel. Sometimes its just how people adapt and go about their lives in space. There doesn't always have to be death, battles, and romance for a scifi book to be good. That's my take-away anyway.

Hoping to finish "Record of a Spaceborn Few" in the next few days. Then I'm not sure if I'm going to dive into the next book in the series, or start Game of Thrones.

Couldn't sleep well last night because I may have been too into the third Wayfarer book too much (Record of a Spaceborn Few by Becky Chambers).
