Het evenwicht in het team qua techniek (Sneijder, Van Persie), ervaring (Van der Wiel was als 22-jarige de jongste) en gif (Van Bommel, De Jong) was veel beter dan nu. Misschien niet spectaculair voetbal, maar wel een gevoel van onoverwinnelijkheid.

#Mexico has a huge US following, especially in the West and Southwest, and they've always been the better team compared to #USMNT, even #USWNT performs far better. I went to Mexico City to watch #WC2010 SAfrica at the Fan Zone there, shortly after saw winners #Spain vs USMNT friendly in NE. My teams though are #Netherlands (#Oranje) and #Ajax. Went to DC for #DCUnited vs Ajax. #Football
