151 followers · 1918 posts · Server rollenspiel.social@peter @Morgunin Hm, back in the 90s until the dawn of #5E, #DnD was still a thing, but e. g. #WoD #Shadowrun sold similar well, some products even better (iirc). Back then I worked for #WDS, the "exclusive distributor" of #TSR / #DnD in Germany. #DnD4e sold (as far as I know) pretty bad overall.
In my opinion, it's complicated, and it's not an all or nothing thing. The #OGL has paved the way for the survival of #DnD as we know it. #OSR clones are everywhere.
