Interesting #Aljazeera article about #Putin #weaponising commodities e.g. fossil fuels to try to strong-arm his opponents into conceding control of #Donbas or all of #Ukraine - and why his strategy will back-fire.

Not entirely convinced by the argument but enjoyed the vivid imagery. Actually, it is the rhetorical flourishes which make me feel the argument must be weak on facts or reasoning so using tropes to hide it. Rhetoric is not always effective - ask #UK PM #Johnson.
