The show itself seems very firmly set in London's Muslim community. But maybe it's a universal story. Loving your family and friends and religion, but also needing to SCREAM.

@keithwilson I like a lot of British comedy (and other genres), so it's not that I think. It just feels like the writing is gong haywire, and can't decide what to do with the arcs. But we'll see; like I said I'm still watching. Maybe the novelty of S1 has worn off and I'm just not as amused. Ah well I can nitpick but each to his own! Good to find a show to make you laugh out loud! I'm gonna rewatch #WeAreLadyParts soon for that.

Thinking about #WeAreLadyParts, which I blew through all of last night. It's about a punk band of #muslim women coming together as friends and bandmates. I enjoyed how different all the characters were, and the emphasis on joy and creativity and expression. The #music was good too. These dang British shows are so short, and 6 episodes left me wanting much more, but I'm glad to hear a second series is in the works.

Just rewatched #WeAreLadyParts. If you have not seen it, it absolutely deserves a watch. The whole series can be binged in one sitting, if you've got ~3 hours to kill, and it's outstanding. Great soundtrack, great cinematography, excellent writing, stellar acting.
