I am on strike today from my job at the University of Nottingham. Real-terms pay for staff has decreased by 25% since 2009, meaning we were working one day free per week - before inflation kicked in! Pensions slashed by 35%. Pay cuts disproportionately affect ECRs and EDI in the workplace. Is it too much to expect universities to support their staff in these ideals?
