I’ve been working on getting a webapp for my weather station working. Weewx is the app, and it displays the weather information from my Weatherflow Tempest in real time.

It was shockingly simple — & I do not use that word lightly — to get a basic logger + separate TUI for displaying local UDP broadcast data from my #Weatherflow #Tempest #weather station up & running in Deno.

I've got libraries for this thing in several languages, but iterating on a simple TUI in Deno was pretty painless, despite typescript silliness.

Binaries (Deno can compile javascript to native binaries) are kinda yuge, tho.

Tooling/LSP nearly as good as Rust, too.

Figure that the day the #winter storm is supposed to start; my #Tempest #WeatherFlow (@weather) goes offline; hopefully, it picks up enough of a charge before it starts coming down so it can record the temperatures. #weather

So one of the things that I’m super passionate about is #weather and I actually got a #tempest #weatherflow (weather station) for my birthday.
