The thing about the #Web20 approach to things is that it ultimately fails everywhere.

For instance, apps are banned on-your-behalf (it seems) by vendors without explanation.

I am going public with this because its the second time this week I've seen #Google login block an app I am using without any explanation.

Our #ODSBriefcase module hasn't changed an iota since it was created in the early days of the #Blogosphere.

What's changed is the fact that more tools are now using existing open standards (#RSS, #ActivityStreams, #Atom, #ActivityPub etc.) thanks to the #Web20 implosion (punctuated by #Twitter's recent dysfunction).

Open standards ensure interoperability and loose-coupling -- which ensures better solutions and longevity :)

I started to use a RSS/Atom Newsreader again. Reeder 5, in case you wonder. Next, I intend to re-establish a self-hosted blog again.
