Personally, I think that such a "removal" would only work well with a sort-of private #Proxy setup similar to #FrogFind [ http://frogfind.com ] by @ActionRetro

#WebDevs like @fuchsiii would scream at this point since this can be weaponized for #malware and #phishing easily, as it would literally require to perform #MITM attacks!

The best that I can think of would be something like #ShinigamiEyes since that only applies a custom #CSS [colour of font].

@heiseonline In January we finally moved the main account to our own #instance (

Since then it is being filled mainly automatically with all the articles. The accounts for our other magazines work in the same way.

The instance itself is also for employees, there are currently about three dozen accounts, some #editors, #webdevs and #authors, for whom the instance acts as a verification. Other editors have kept their older profiles on different instances.

Since many people use now browsers with "do not track" as default and declining cookie and as someone who implements stats in line with DSVGO GDPR laws, my statistics for most sites are pretty useless. The only eventually data I get from Google Search Console and paid Google Ads clicks (if there is a campaign).
I would love to hear from other #webdevs how they deal with it.
And I am pretty confident, if your sites don't have millions of visits, and you implemented everything in line with laws, without any dark patterns, this is pretty similar.

How do we sell this to our clients?

I just have a preference for green and amber consoles, but that's just me doing sysadmin, networks & storage, whereas a lot of #WebDevs use it less as a #BusinessCard and more as a means to impress potential customers and visitors.

And whilst mine isn't spechal at all [ @fuchsiii did cleanup the fuckshitstack of code I wanted to put on ] I know a lot of #WebDevs do kinda struggle when it comes to making decisions on their own site.

Right now, I have to hardcode it, and can't find it in the usual places (global variables, local db storage, etc). I checked out the source a little too. Still no clue.

OK, IT someone tell me the new tech I missed for the web that is un obtrusive and full prove against minors accessing a site.

Them being a prude being ignored the idea of the tech is... Laughable. Love that he/the bill says that the tech is there and then just throws it at the individual sites to make something that fits there standards.
