Yet, this ecosystem that is un-shutdown-able. Web forums might not be popular amongst general public but they still exist and remain a valuable source of information focused on a variety of topics. It's hard to compete against funded platforms like #reddit but as Elon is proving... You cannot really trust them to last forever as well.

(scoring, unread/read indicators, various views, speed, ...)
So far, the project does seem to provide read-only views and not posting capabilities. I'd LOVE to see #nntpit becoming stable for general use!

Absolute basic things like "recognizing what I've already read and what is new" is a total fail in most web forum implementations and I simply do not understand why not everyone is complaining on a daily basis. And this is just one example. 🤷
