Do any #WordPress users or other folks have experience (positive or negative) with #HostM for #webhosting? Our #webhost of 10 years is owned by a conglomerate and has taken a dive in 2023, so we're looking at switching #webhosts for our WordPress.org site and another site.

Don't know the technical specifications of HostM's servers, e.g., how much memory and processing power is offered. We have no reason to believe it would be insufficient for our needs, but seems strange that they don't spell that out. https://www.hostm.com/about

We haven't found any significant reviews for HostM, so it's hard to tell how well the company is received in the industry. We do have one pretty tech-savvy friend who switched to HostM 1-1/2 yrs ago and has had no issues thus far.

The migration of ironwynch.com and cornrows.co.uk to the new host appear to be successful. Obeahwoman.com is in the final stretch of propagation, but seems to be at least browsable. So we're still good. I still haven't heard anything from AQhost. They're either dying or maybe ghosting me. I don't know which. I haven't done anything against the terms and the only way I was annoying was asking them what hosting plan would upgrade me with a higher resources limit.

It may be silly, but I am feeling actual grief and sadness as the host I have been with for almost two decades is going to crap after being bought out by a new company. The new support pages are nicer, but it's like every day some site is down and I have to find out myself or from a reader report. So I'm using the nice new support pages a lot more often than the old clunky ones.

The backend login to my web host has been broken for 4+ hours, and no response from support. After my site went down for an hour twice in a week, significantly making my work more difficult.

Think I need to switch #hosts. Anyone have any recs for privacy-minded, open-source, reliable web host? I would need something that can run #Nextcloud, #Kimai, #Wordpress & #Matomo

Jetzt bin ich richtig froh, dass ich meine Websites noch nicht wieder hergestellt hatte. HE hat mit dem neusten Update alles platt gemacht. Das ist in wenigen Jahren jetzt schon das 2.Mal.

Diesmal betrifft es sogar Baustellenseiten, die nur aus HTML und CSS bestanden und weil sie ohne SSL daherkommen, auch von Browser fälschlich als "unsicher" angezeigt werden. *KOPFKLATSch*
