2010: Apple proudly lists apps that use WebKit, which at the time included Chrome! 😆 Google hadn't forked the engine, yet.

Sorry guys... this is not what the OPEN web is about... it is not about a single vendor lock "just" for some nicer dev experience.
In the end we have now #blink as the defacto monopolistic giant in the rendering game. Then there is #webkit mainly used by #safari browser. And faaar away there is #firefox powered by the #gecko rendering engine.
Let us foster #diversity on the #web before it is... too late!

- Made the address bar work
- Tested the multimedia playback (it works!)
- Fixed the HTTP <-> HTTPS autodetection
- Tested Magellan's FTP support (not yet working; issue opened)
Version 0.0.2 is not recommended for general use, but it is now somewhat functional.

On the occasion of #WorldWideWebDay, it's worth a mention that #Oslo, #Norway has been instrumental in giving birth to two most influential browser engines - #KHTML and #Presto. And browsers such as #Opera and #Vivaldi.
A building in #Oslo has a great history: an incubator of the #KHTML & #Presto engines. Presto had a massive influence on web standards & KHTML went on to form the basis of #Webkit and #Blink, on which most web browsers are now based, including Vivaldi.

But more importantly, we need to move away from a #blink browser engine mono-culture and use #webkit (#safari) and #gecko (#firefox) so that websites know that there's a penalty for being not standards compliant.
