I no longer see the option to emulate mobile browsers in #webpagetest advanced settings. It used to be under the Chromium tab.
Are other people experiencing the same thing? Or is it just me?
Just published a short article/video on how to use #WebPageTest to test a #Shopify preview store behind a password:

The slides of my talk about #WebPagetest scripting at Hamburg #WebPerf meetup hosted by baqend are now available on Speakerdeck: https://speakerdeck.com/tbaldauf/exciting-webpagetest-scripting-webperf-meetup-hamburg-20230323
Hat tip to @PatMeenan, @andydavies et al. for continuously providing good documentation about WPT over the past decade! <3
Only a few minutes away from presenting at #WebPerf meetup Hamburg about #WebPagetest scripting opportunities.

Today: we finaly have a Pro account on WebPageTest so we'll be able to use all Opportunities & Experiments! π₯³
Also today, in WebPageTest header: "Notice: WebPageTest's user account services are currently experiencing issues." π

Anyone have any Info about WebPageTest having technical issues? π’ I can't get the page to load.
The horse I was meant to get back on ran away, met a mare, had some fowls who repeated the procreational pattern over generations but in the harsh UV light of climate change evolved into black, scaly beasts more akin to the fabled Wyrm than their equestrian ancestors ... BUT I'm gonna hop on on their back nonetheless:
#WebPerf Meetup Hamburg Revival, featuring splendid engineers & one dilettante horseback rider talking about #WebPagetest.

Great case study from the Shopify performance team on recent work to make a site faster (and the impact to business metrics).
The fundamentals are strong with this one:
- Don't preload unnecessarily
- Serve render-blocking content from the origin (or as few as possible)
- Don't lazy-load your LCP content
- fetchpriority=high on LCP image is webperf pixie dust

For the WebPageTest fans!
Our team's been working on a new custom page for Lighthouse results in WebPageTest for a little while now and I'm happy with how it came out, in particular the tie-ins to run Experiments. (context: we've offered lighthouse for a while but used its default viewer)
Here's an example result.

And a blog post about it: https://blog.webpagetest.org/posts/webpagetest-lighthouse-even-better/

If you use WebPageTest Pro Experiments, you may have noticed that the order you apply your experiments to a page is important. For example, if you want to replace out a section of HTML and also add an attribute to an HTML element found in that new HTML, you'll want those steps to run in that order.
As of today, you can sort the order that experiments apply to ensure they apply in an order that makes sense for the changes you're making. #webperf #webperformance #webpagetest

π’ We have just detected that #webperf reports with Paris location did not deliver due to a long queue of waiting in the execution of the tests. We are trying to run the tests again but there seems to be a problem in #WebPageTest
. We're sorry! βΉοΈ

@badrihippo I did this recently using #webpagetest !
#keybase : 2.9 MB (half of which is a single image)
#keyoxide : 211 KB :)
But having a dedicated tool for this would be awesome! We need less bloat
