Such weevil. I wish I knew my weevils!

One late May, I gleefully observed this adorable character ambling along a fern. I'd been crouching down (as one so often does!), gazing at spots where sunlight penetrated the trees, to see what six-legged wonders might turn up (this was just across the McKenzie River from my place at the time, in Oregon’s Willamette National Forest).

Where there's a weevil there's a way!
