Urrrgh… A unique and endearing name being replaced with what sounds like a failed megacorp transformation project. 😕

If you haven't tried #wefwef its really nice. It's sort of an attempt to do what #Apollo was doing, but as a PWA.

However, some important features are missing - like e.g. you can't block people/instances - and its not great on desktop. But early days !

Just found out you can customize the home screen icon for any #webApp on #iOS! Just use the Safari web inspector to change the “apple-touch-icon”-urls to another image before adding the app to you home screen.

Helpful if you wanna change the #wefwef icon for example.

I moved off my previous #lemmy server to #geddit, works fine now 👌

#wefwef is a really nice mobile client by the way, it's a pure web app installable as a PWA, so Android and iOS compatible.

@CAD oh wow, I've been trying to use #Lemmy, but all clients I tried are still in early development stage/not working properly, even #Jerboa or the official web client.

#wefwef doesn't seem to be perfect, but IMO, is miles ahead. Thanks for the heads up.

#Wefwef may have a silly name but it is so similar to #Apollo that half the time I feel like I am still using it. Very happy it exists.

En explorant un peu la #RedditMigration, #Lemmy, #Kbin, etc., je suis tombé sur le client pour Lemmy #WefWef et je suis surlecuté. Je n’ai *jamais* vu une PWA (personal web app) aussi fluide et ergonomique. Bluffant !

@jensimmons I think I've had 20 people complain to me that iOS keyboard doesn't appear for #wefwef as a #PWA.

Restarting phone always solves it.
