Time to get my strength back up for roller derby!

I haven't done weight training in 3 years. I just signed up for a gym, and 3rd day in I'm doing:
Leg press - 280lbs
Adductor - 250lbs
Abductor - 255lbs
I'm a ways off from my past self, but I'm proud of where I am now!

Squatting 220lbs felt easy. But 225lbs feels like I’m lifting the world. It’s crazy how the mind can constrain you just because something looks like it’s heavy.

Since all of my running is on the treadmill now here is today's workout

15 minute WU
8x2min at 7min pace on 1 min rest intervals
10 min CD

Still feeling the knee out. I am a month away from my 6 min mile attempts to continue the 20 year old streak.

Community defense isn’t just about getting a shooting guns (although it is a big piece). You need to have the ability to move quickly, wield your weapon of choice, and have the strength to aid any fallen/injured comrades.

A solid regimen is just as important (tbh probably more so) than the weapon’s training. So let’s discuss your routine! Do you have one? What does it look like? Here’s mine! Depending on time constraints if I can go to the gym 3x a week I’ll do the seen in the notes screen grab, if I can work out more, I’ll switch to what’s called a which is an isolation of specific muscle groups per day. Seen below!
