The last three days of May turned out to be a sum of the month - some days good, others just ok, and a few fantastic ones!
I set my daily goal for May to 10,000 steps, 30 heart points, and 2000+ Calories used, carrying 20-25 lbs, and do regular sets of weight lifting.
I reached those goals, and exceeded them - setting the bar for June!!

This weight bench is supposed to support 600 pounds. It seems fairly sturdy, but I have my doubts about that claim. Hopefully it'll hold me and some reasonably light dumbbells.

Ordered a sturdy, foldable bench for working out with my dumbbells. Now I'll have no excuse not to put these muscles to work again! It's been years since I last lifted weights. After gradually losing weight, my arms look kind of spindly.

Finally finally finally got in a session after wayyy too long! Had a bit of a fuck around, did all the big lifts and a couple favorite accessories without worrying too much about if I was doing "enough." It was fun!! Also hot damn do I love inverted rows.

The behavior at gyms is outrageous sometimes. I'm at my gym using the leg extension machine. I've finished my set and am waiting between sets, so I stand up. While I'm standing right by it, someone tries to get on it! They act like they didn't know I was still using it.

Off to the ! I wanted to change my routine and decided to get a new Jeff Nippard’s 5-day split routine for hypertrophy. It’s got preset warmups, feeder sets, mechanical dropsets, cluster sets etc. It looks pretty good, especially that it includes some exercises I haven’t done before.

Today's menu:
• Bench Press
• Larsen Press
• Standing Dumbbell Arnold Press
• Press-Around ss. with Pec Static Stretch 30s
• Cross-Body Cable Y-Raise
• Squeeze-Only Triceps Pressdown ss. with Stretch-Only Overhead Triceps Extension
• N1-Style Cross-Body Triceps Extension

My goal in new year is to get shredded to 10% body fat (currently 20%) and then start bulking again. From my experience I can say it will take about 12-15 weeks.

I want to bench my body weight before Summer and squat bodyweight before April.

I set up my program. Let’s go then and get rid off these love handles! 🏋🏻‍♂️

Losing fat while gaining muscle, commonly called “body recomposition” or “recomping,” is indeed possible. However, it’s not for everybody. Trex wrote an article about it. Personally, I think it’s easier to cut and bulk in phases to get better results.
