@jordinn It’s so common for people’s reactions to be “wait, there’s a timezone EAST of Eastern Time?!?” (Atlantic Time), and then you get you tell them about Newfoundland and Labrador…

Some of us grew up hearing “…8 o’clock; 8:30 in Newfoundland”; apparently there are people who didn’t grow up watching CBC TV. #weird

A couple of houses down from mine, I have a new-ish #neighbour; moved in last year. There lives a weird kid, in a good way. From talking to him and seeing him doing weird things, it seemed to me he was destined to end up a pretty good engineer in about twenty years.

#Weird by kF questions what is real for everyone and what is a subjective construct, like E.A. Poe stories. A single character played by a single player, all the others describe the environment with limited private communication between them. This naturally makes places, situations and NPCs at least a bit inconsistent, flickering between different realities. It's like an exercise in gaslighting.

I'm thinking it must be regional. I'm in the prairies and have never heard of it.

Saskatchewan has - or had - an unusual local expression which I don't think was ever used outside the province. What are commonly called "hoodies" in many places were, for reasons unknown to me, universally known as "bunnyhugs" here. I think it's less common now, but still known.
