Another weird yet endearing family thing: my stepmom will show up with random gifts she felt your house needed…sometimes v useful…other times very wtf. Once she got us a 3 foot statue of a manatee because it might look good in our bathroom 😂 Anyone else have family do things like this?

My aunt’s text about sending us a tree has turned I to a whole saga. Apparently she bought us MATCHING trees and hers is already planted. The latest update is that it’s starting to grow today 😂 Our tree still has not arrived. She is disappointed but I’m so amused.

For I'm sharing Nelson and Wellington from . I'm not particularly interested in military history, but when I was a child my dad named his houseplants after these guys, and when I saw them in September it reminded me of that and made me giggle. Nelson was a yucca and Wellington may have been a dracaena of some kind.
