Majority opinion is that the Doge meme popup is an #AprilFools joke that got rolled out late, or that remnants still exist in some cache or something, and it's being seen as Yet Another(tm) Twitter f-up

Seeing a black screen and a two-second popup of the iconic #Doge meme dead center before the screen clears and my List fills in

One thing I'm still getting used to on Mastodon: is this a good place for funny/silly content? How do you even find it?

I used to love #weirdtwitter and some of dril's and others had me crying for ten minutes at a time 😅 but it seems like 'discoverability' (gross word) works different here, for better and worse....

@sparkleclowngirl I was definitely only thinking positive, but I can't figure out whether Mastodon gives off #WeirdTwitter or Tumblr vibes more, when it's not being political or nerdy.

But hey I found your account because of a hashtag I presume you helped trend (#TransitionTuesday) so you aren't doing too badly.

Still really enjoying the vibe over here on Mastodon.

Weird Twitter hasn't moved to Mastodon and I don't think they will without quote tweets. I know there are servers with this enabled, but it's not common knowledge.
