Sometimes if the surgeon is cool, they will go ahead and remove your appendix and write off the foreign body as incidental so I insurance doesn't ask you too many questions about how you lost something in your butt.

Not really that weird but it baffled me last time.
How do you enter a short story submission to Uncanny?
I got so confused earlier this year, I pressed the blue link but every time I went there it still seemed to say it would be reopening on a certain date and it never seemed to open, though the date got further away.
If anyone has done it, can you please guide me through it? Many thanks.

The story for "Bara no Konrei" is original. While it uses various parts of Dracula from the book and different movies, characters like Mana's Holy Girl are unique to MALICE MIZER's story. Some scenes hark back to Grand Guignol.

I love spiders (I used to be terrified until I got to hold a tarantula) and love seeing the different types. Imagine my delight when I found a yellow crab spider in my garden (I'd never seen one before) so I'm so pleased got these photos from my front garden. I've never seen one since.
