Con #WelcomeToWhereverYouAre, publicado el 3 de agosto de 1992, #INXS se adaptó a los nuevos tiempos que el contexto musical requería con la irrupción del grunge y el rock alternativo. Así, la banda australiana consiguió mantener el equilibrio, esa tarea difícil de lograr en tiempos de cambio, y tras los exitosos Kick y X, consiguió seguir estando a la altura con un disco en el que no perdió la identidad.
