#CuriousCures in Cambridge Libraries is a two-year project to digitise, catalogue and conserve over 180 medieval manuscripts from University and College libraries

We focus on #medievalMSS containing approximately 8,000 unedited medical recipes, but the mss include so much more!

What gets me about the #wellcometrust furore is museums refresh their exhibitions as often as they can afford to. This display has been in place awhile. If they had said they were going to replace it to make it more interactive, or even something less important, like matching their branding. No one would have blinked (& I bet those things will happen too) but because they rightly consider changing purposes of museums, they're in culture war central. @joshmoore Among the principles, I note especially "Research software should adhere to #openScience standards as much as possible." And in the recommendations, "#Funding agencies should explicitly address the discrepancy between research software as an outcome of temporary (project) funding and the continued need for research software as a research instrument after the project has ended."
Good that #WellcomeTrust, #UKRI, #ANR and #DPG are there (among others).
