Is it possible to make it through a We’re Here episode without getting emotional? #werehere #wereherehbo
Hey @hbomax@twitter.com @HBO@twitter.com, again, the new episode of #WereHereHBO has WILDLY inaccurate captioning. They are not remotely close to what is being said onscreen and are significantly delayed.
I love this show, but you owe equal access to your audiences who use captioning.
Please fix them.
Every episode of We're Here is so good. A real bright spot in an often incredibly drab world.
If you’re not watching #WereHereHBO you should be. Doing drag shows across small town usa has me sobbing, and hoping for a better future

"We're Here" on HBO has been important & deeply moving television for two years. De'Bronski's story in the Jackson, Mississippi episode is, as Bob describes it, "next level."
My story is not De'Bronski's in full, but I related with respect to. similar thoughts & choices.
I could feel the release of so much sadness and rage through his performance. My prayer is that De'Bronski stays with the conviction to no longer be invisible. Peace deserved.

Even if you don't watch the show, even if you don't particularly care for #drag, watch this episode. It captures the duality of a place, the contradictions of 'home', triumph over trauma, and the intense need of the human spirit to see and be seen. It is catharsis caught on camera. Just a raw moving testament to strength through vulnerability and the sentiment, "You're going to love me." 2/2

As a former resident of Mississippi, when I settled in for last night's episode of Were Here on #HBO I knew it was going to be emotionally exhausting. Like Bob says early in the episode, I also have a love-hate relationship with the state (anyone who tells you differently has never truly been there). 1/

Who else is watching ‘We’re Here’?
De'Bronski‘s performance was remarkable. And the costuming was brilliant: From someone who felt invisible to someone who filled the entire stage up to the rafters!
