I saw a podiatrist for the first time today... for foot pain (high ballet arches).

Turns out we used to take West Coast Swing dance classes together with the late, great Phil Adams before the pandemic.

Phil is still the loss that cuts deepest.

My new favorite hobby is watching #dance videos, and Inga and Browly are two dancers I come back to frequently.

I believe their style of dancing is #westCoastSwing (someone correct me if I'm wrong),

But what most fascinates me most is that their dances are completely improvised, yet they always seem SO coordinated!

@just_alex Great virtual West Coast Swing classes cropped up in 2020. We're still taking those, but nothing beats the fun of in-person training and social dancing with new partners.

I went to both of those super spreader Swing dance events last month. The best dancers flew in from all over the planet to breathe heavily into each other's faces in SoCal.

My husband and I were almost the only people in masks.

Morning has broken. But it’s okay, I’ve got Sellotape.
Wee road trip south of Edinburgh today, to see a friend.

My face after Swing dancing for hours under a (hot) mask.

Dancing is my happy place. I was one of maybe 5 people masking at the biggest international Swing Dance championship in the world. (Not competing, just dancing.)

Newsflash: you can totally dance with a mask on during an airborne pandemic. We've lost too many great dancers and friends to #Covid already.

Husband Devin and I took 4 West Coast Swing workshops at the US Open today. Just got out of soaking my angry knees in a hot bath. 3 more workshops tomorrow, and I think I'll do some social dancing. Going back and forth on whether to spend $150 on a pair of nice dance shoes. (This photo is from 2019. This year I'm masked.)

FYI #PartnerDancing is the number 1 activity to prevent or reverse #Alzheimer's #dementia. We #dance for fun and #BrainHealth.
