Is it time for a proper #introduction? Probably. I'm Simon and I'm a #history #teacher in #Sussex, #UK. I enjoy #sailing and am the proud owner of a #Westerly #Centaur, based in #Essex. I tend to get a little obsessed with the news, especially #UKPolitics - although this has diminished since abandoning Twitter. Other passions are #running, #swimming, #reading, #writing and playing the #piano. My #Christian faith is an important facet of my identity. I'm also blessed with Type 1 #Diabetes.

The #weather today is quite odd. There is a strong #westerly #wind and there is intermittent #sleet along with bright sunshine. #Cycling into such a #headwind was tough this morning and I was down a couple of #gears compared to normal and getting a face-full of little stinging ice particles along the way. Still, the #temperature is well above zero and so it’s not too slippery.
