This season is off to a brutal start, with 487 wildfires already in Alberta alone; 92 of those are still active, as of Wednesday. In parts of #WesternCanada in particular, fires have become an annual norm.”

The nearly stationary #LowPressure systems over the #NorthernPlains states and in the #PacificOcean off of the #WesternCanada #BritishColumbia area? No west to east movement anywhere? WTF? There appear to be #HighPressure blocks up and down the #US west coast and southeast extending out into the #Atlantic #Caribbean waters? One big continental hemispheric convergence zone? #Weird.
