@PascalPhotos Thanks Pascal for your kind thoughts. I try to pass on information that I find that may be helpful. Of course I love the possums.
It is heartbreaking to see the world in its current state, burning and on fire. I hope you are safe in France. Hopefully this terrible season will be seen as a wakeup call to really get things moving. Otherwise I don't think society has much of a chance.
On a positive note here is a photo from our recent trip to Western Queensland. The first 2 are on the Balonne River at St George. The other is the vista at Eromanga - home of Cooper the dinosaur. Cooper was a large sauropod, 30m long and 6m high.

Should also mention that we saw Harry the Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat at Thallon. The Northern hairy nosed wombat population was down to 35 but they have been brought back from the verge of extinction. Was good to read their story. We can make a difference if we try.

@Huxso Must have been some blast. It's quite a distance from Charleville. We were talking to the people at the Bilby center and the were saying the fire truck saved the first responded and took a huge brunt of it. You got a new fire truck but it was too big for the fire station so you got a new garage as well.
2014 Angellala Bridge Explosion.
A truck carrying 53t of ammonium nitrate crashed and the diesel from the truck caused a massive explosion. Details on the incident are recorded on the 2 plaques. The destroyed rail bridge is in the background. Road bridge was completely destroyed and a new one is there now.
For reference the Oklahoma City Bombing has 2.2t of fertiliser.
Luckily noone was killed in the Angellala Bridge explosion.
