In Penrith and western Sydney instead of prioritising public transport and cycling networks for individuals to get around they are stuck driving. Building more giant carparks won't make it a liveable place for the future or their kids.

Was in Marsden Park today for the first time since moving out ~2 years ago. Richmond Road is still an absolute pain and I guess they're no closer to having adequate transport infrastructure for the area then they were back when I lived there. So there's that I guess.

#WesternSydney #metro has a new artists impression video to go with the contract signing.

It's cool but since the whole place is basically paddocks the artists have nothing to work with, so each station is just bland sleek train station with an inordinately large number of people milling about on the pavement.

I must admit I had a laugh seeing all these business people just casually chilling outside St Marys station in what appears to be the middle of the day. But build it and they will come, I guess?

This morning I had an appointment. I thought I could get there before the storm hit (all my umbrellas have been destroyed from previous storms). I ended up being soaked through as if I'd jumped in a pool with my clothes on.

When I was done, before I headed home, I bought a big umbrella....

I'm a happily, recently, engaged queer living with her partner and two bunnies Hazel and Falkor 🐰 😍

I'm studying to become a Librarian Technician. Books, research, organisation... mmm yes

I'm recovering from Complex-PTSD, OCD, and Major Depressive Disorder. I am a big advocate for mental health, wellbeing and self-care. Oh and yeah I'm not afraid to talk about it. A lot. Not the trauma, just the therapy and mental illness. I'm pretty giddy with the normalcy and well-adjustment. It's so yummy. Highly recommend therapy.

I'm also a Type 1 diabetic, so hey type one peeps 🤟 💉

In my spare time I love to art, crochet, make random things, garden, blog, game and I'm addicted to #eso dammit, read, and write.

Wonderwalls Festival in Port Kembla yesterday.

Really puts in stark lines the pressure young Women of Colour can feel when they find themselves seeking a path outside what their family may desire for them.

Really great, heartfelt performance that perfectly captured youthful heartbreak, living in Western Sydney and walking to the best of your own drum.

Great performance from her offsider with the beats and his rap, too.

a. love being in an insular peninsula forever, or

Studied, travelled abroad, and then initially set down roots in #westernsydney in Darug country. Biggest cheerleader for the utterly underrated west, particularly food/neighbourhood culture. Moved to the #innerwest about 6ish months ago with my partner and I’m still adjusting (they’re different, okay?)

I’ve been teaching for 10 years in the public system. I’m completely burnt out and have only stayed this long for my kids. Views are my own and not of my employer. My views are left leaning AF.
