Iceland 2023 Gear check:

Genesis CTF 835 w. Hunt wheels (SON 28 in the front).

Gearing is done by a modded SRAM Rival to 12-spd w. SRAM Eagle rear derallieur and casette (10-50).

Old Man Mountain racks w. Vaude panniers.

Tried matching the graphics on the frame w. the bling XX1 oil slick chain and the Supacaz wraps.

Non-leather Brooks saddle and bottle cages everywhere. Bottles and extras strapped down w. G3 straps.

Frame- and saddlebag from Wizardworks.

Day 7 recap:

Missed a day, don't remember where it went. Probably lost in the mountains.

This day was the first day we hit the actual north shore of the Westfjords. Fjords are the best and worst in tailwind.

Also fell in love, again, with the person in the store telling us "Hey guys, there's free coffee" in Swedish.

Bike's doing alright. Ass hurts. Todo: change saddle when I get home.

Time for sleep.

This is a lovely fjord in the far north-west of , Γ“safjΓΆrΓ°ur. It was a miserable, drizzly day and we had gone waterfall hunting. Even though it was 10am, the summer sun was already quite high. As we were on our way to Dynjandi, I turned to look back and saw these gorgeous beams striking the head of the inlet.

GΓΆngumannafoss is one of the downstream from the big Dynjandi in , . I took this photo while fending off an army of annoying midges. People say they don't bite, but they sure did bite me. I had one bite on the palm of my hand that stayed swollen for days!

I spent some extra days in Iceland, after I attended a conference in Reykjavik. I took a quick trip up north to the Westfjords, amazing views, with a beautiful nameless waterfall next to the road.

We've seen in the Eastfjords on our first visit to , the Westfjords on our fourth visit, and the North on our fifth. cliffs in is my favourite place to see them, hands down. Getting there can get a little hairy because of the narrow, winding, and unpaved mountain road leading there, but totally worth it. This was taken around 10pm at Latrabjarg in June. It was still pretty bright!
