“ The Helmet of the Gods ”

On Thursdays after work I sometimes accompany my husband to medieval (SCA) fight practice. It takes place in the parking lot of a BART (train) station in Oakland, California. Last night he asked for help fitting his gloves into his gauntlets. I told him that he had to pose for me in exchange. I only had a few seconds before he went back to fighting.

This helmet was made by a friend who is a professional armorer. My husband does indeed call it "The Helmet of the Gods". I think this crop and the lighting makes it a bit creepy.
