#Coronation of #GeorgeIV Soldiers from the FootGuard camped near #WestminsterHall with spectators arriving from 3am & Nobility arriving from 5. At 6.30am #QueenCaroline arrived in Dean’s Yard adjacent to #WestminsterAbbey causing an ‘extreme sensation’ when her entry was denied.

The ‘Line of Procession’ on which His Majesty paraded from #WestminsterHall to the Abbey was 3/4miles (1.2km) long, 30 feet (9m) wide & 5 feet (1.5m) above the ground to allow spectators the best view possible of their #King & the spectacle that followed him #Coronation #GeorgeIV

King #GeorgeIV’s #Coronation took place on Thursday 19July1821. The schedule dictated that His Majesty would appear in #WestminsterHall about 10am before walking along a raised ‘Line of Procession’ to #WestminsterAbbey where the Coronation Ceremony was to take place.

I just saw that I got featured on the website of one of #Poland's leading news magazines a couple of days ago.
One of my photographs from the lying-in-state of Her Majesty #QueenElizabethII was featured in an article in #Wprost on damage caused to the stone floor of #WestminsterHall caused by the amount of people who queued to pay their last respects to #TheQueen.
