49 followers · 388 posts · Server sfba.socialExperienced a crazy range of temperatures today. 7am, #RedwoodCity, nice cool morning for biking; 9am, nice out; 10am #WestPortal/#ForestHill *freezing*; one Muni ride later:10:15am in the Castro: perfect! 2pm back in WP, brr; 3pm, driving by Pacific, blowing mist so that you can hardly see. 4pm RWC--got totally sweaty just doing bike *maintenance*; way to hot to actually ride it!

That’s using the windy route via St Francis Wood to avoid 🚗 and not pedaling hard (but maxing out e-assist). Definitely faster than driving and parking, and less than half the time needed to allow for the M — waiting on speed and reliability improvements in this section. 🙏

#LBUS is every 15, and when I made it to #WestPortal, the next K/M were >15 min away.
I asked a worker if she knew when the next #Shuttle might come and she had no idea.
this shuttle that runs Embarcadero <> West Portal:
• isn’t on the Muni website (that I can find)
• shows up seemingly at random
• and now I just learned that not even workers know when it’ll come?!
what a way to run a #transit system in the country’s premier tech city!
