My 60mm lens provides great magnification and can focus as long as I am further than the minimum working distance. With the diopter added, I get extra magnification and the ability to get closer to the subject, but now have both a minimum and maximum working distance for focus. A flip adapter gives you the best of both worlds! I found a design on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4129223) for a flip adapter.
