There are many stories to be remembered on #ANZAC Day.

My late Grandfather wrote this as a birthday gift to his Mum, from prison where he and other conscientious objectors were incarcerated during the war.

Today, on #HolocaustMemorialDay , I’d like to remember the Mordkowitch sisters from Paris, Madeleine (29/07/31) and Jeannine (17/12/33) who were deported from Drancy on 14/09/42, and murdered at Auschwitz 5 days later. #WeWillRememberThem

#OTD in 1943, Private Rueben Christ Hauff, of The Saskatoon Light Infantry, was killed in action. He is buried in the Moro River Canadian War Cemetery.

It was a poignant visit to Ypres earlier this year, taking my daughters for their first trip, inc visiting my Gt Gt Uncle’s @CWGC near Ypres.
