I suspect local news outlets (#WIVB and #WGRZ ) are downplaying the potential for the impending #snow #storm, in order to try to preclude businesses from closing earlier, or preclude giving employees a reason to not come to work, in unsafe travel conditions.
Local media is saying 1.5-2' of snow. #NWS is saying 3-4'.
Yes, 2 ft of snow, in a 48 hr period is a huge difference.
