Another great mid-winter #BikeTooter today, chasing hills in #Whakarewarewa Forest south of #Rotorua. I was up at 5, knocked off my day's work as quickly as possible, and starting riding just before 10. Still ran out of daylight at the other end, finishing just after 6 pm. It was freezing on the last section back into town, but I managed to ride 89 kilometres and climbed 2,300 metres. A great training ride for the #MongoliaBikeChallenge which is now only 8 weeks away.

A lovely day for a #walk exploring the new Te Puteke o Tawa walking trail in #Whakarewarewa Forest.
I spent the day in #Whakarewarewa Forest, cycling up every hill I could find. 88 km and 2,500 (!) metres of climbing in seven and three quarter hours. Now everything hurts, but it's good training for my upcoming trip to Mongolia...

Did a solid training ride this afternoon in #Whakarewarewa Forest...I picked as many hills as I could and strung them together. The result was 52 km long, with 1,250 metres of climbing, and took me just over four hours. My legs hurt, but it was great training for my upcoming trip to Mongolia...
