#whalebird nervt mich mit fehlenden #features
- kein Alt-Text für Bilder
- keine Funktion zum Folgen von Hashtags
- wird im Laufe der Zeit immer träger und langsamer
- kaum Hilfe im Netz zu finden

Kennt jemand eine gute Alternative, auch für mehrere Accounts?

Во второй раз использую приложения для #Мастодон (первым был #whalebird )

Называется Tuba.

1) Русский есть;
2) Простое, быстро
подключил аккаунт и освоился;
3) Адаптивный интерфейс (содержимое подстраивается под размер окна);
4) Ленты тоже есть

Накатил из оверлеея Gentoo.
Посмотрим, как после перезагрузки будет себя вести.

You will see from previous posts of mine, I'm struggling to find the ALT option in the Linux Whalebird application (where I posted it from) so I'm currently thinking of using an alternative application if it doesn't end up having this feature (I'm sure it does, I just can't find it). My mobile apps have no problem (Mastodon/Tusky/Fedilab) so from those posts you will see for the most part I include ALT text. #whalebird

@aral From my phone I use the Mastodon and Tusky apps to post, both of which have the ability to add Alt text, which I always do now (although it was a habit to learn having not done it coming from blue bird) but I can't seem to find the option when posting from the Whalebird app which installed on my Linux PC. Any help from anyone if they know would be much appreciated! I'll keep looking myself of course. #whalebird #alttext

マルチOS対応のPC向けマストドンクライアントアプリ「Whalebird」なんですが、バージョンが4から5にメジャーアップデートされたら表示フォントがOS標準のものではなく、Linux由来のフリーフォントのものしか選べなくなりました。美しいヒラギノ系のフォントが表示できないのではMacで使う意味がありません。あと微妙に使い勝手が悪いのと、挙動がまだバギーなところがあって、結局、いまだに古いv4.7.5を使っています。まあ、いずれまともになるんでしょうか・・・😅

Is there a way to make #Whalebird stop auto-refreshing and at the same time auto-scrolling the federated timeline? It makes contents unreadable as literally every second, new toots are popping up. I can't even read a single line before it jumps elsewhere on the screen.

Teste gerade #Tuba, einen Fork von #Tootle unter #Linux. Macht insgesamt einen guten Eindruck: zügige Performance und optisch unter #LinuxMint ansprechend.

Zuvor habe ich #Whalebird ausprobiert. Das Programm hat mir aber insgesamt zu "träge" auf meine Eingaben reagiert.

Nutzt ihr unter Linux einen Desktop-Client für #Mastodon bzw. das #Fediverse?

I decided to switch to #Debian 12 yesterday, and in my search for a new desktop client, I'm trying out #Whalebird.

It's definitely not perfect in the slightest, quite a few bugs and very sluggish to make posts in, but it works well enough for now.

Now, if only other Mastodon clients actually packaged for Flathub or made a deb repo... I would switch to them in a heartbeat. I miss Sengi.

к сожалению, он единственный из невырвиглазных и сравнительно удобных.

Tippe diesen Tröt gerade mit #Whalebird ... noch 4.7.4, mit der 5er konnte ich mich noch nicht anfreunden. Dürfte es für #Linux, #MacOS, #Windows geben...
